Botox® is an extremely effective muscle relaxant that temporarily improves the appearance of moderate to severe lines and wrinkles including frown lines between the brow, horizontal forehead creases and crow's feet around the eyes. It is found to work best in in patients aged 18 to 65.
Botox® actually blocks impulses from the nerve to the tiny facial muscles that are related to expression lines. After treatment, the overlying skin remains smooth and unwrinkled while the treated facial muscles contract in a normal fashion, allowing your normal every-day facial expressions to be unaffected.
Treatment:
This purified protein is administered in a simple non-surgical procedure. Low doses of Botox® cosmetic are administered using a few tiny injections directly into the muscles that cause those
stubborn lines between the brows, around the eyes, forehead and lower face and neck. Ask our office about its use for excessive sweating (hyperhydrosis).
The procedure takes approximately between 15 to 30 minutes. It is quick, simple and there is absolutely no downtime. You may resume normal activities immediately, as there is minimal discomfort.
Results:
It can take up to 14 days for the Botox® to take full effect. Results last from 3 to 4 months, but varies from patient to patient.
