Male Hairloss

In MEN, the most common cause of long term permanent hair loss is a condition known as male pattern baldness. This is a genetically related condition that results in genes targeting hair follicles that are sensitive to the hormone dihydrotestostesrone (DHT), thus causing them to shrink. This shrinkage can result in a permanent recession of the hair line as well as an overall thinning over the entire crown of the head. The onset of male pattern baldness varies from person to person.
